Clean socks are a luxury when you are homeless.

For most of us, we don’t want to wear dirty socks, we’d almost rather go without. When you are out in the elements and need to stay warm, and dry, you want to wear socks. For those who are homeless, they don’t have the luxury of waiting for a clean pair. Many of them don’t have a way to wash their clothes, so having the gift of a fresh pair of clean, new socks is an amazing blessing.

So, how can you help!? Hold a sock drive to collect NEW socks at your work, your church, in your neighborhood, or your small group. Or, when you’re out shopping, grab a pair or a package of fresh socks. Consider buying gray or black socks, these show less dirt.

This is a great project to do as a family, with your school, your workplace, or your next-door neighbors. Set a goal. Set a deadline.

Make it happen!

Once you’ve got your drive set up, tell your friends, share it on social media!

Socks may be dropped off at our downtown shelter facility at any time, or at our Family & Youth Center Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm.
